Alejandra Calderon Valencia

Logistics & Operations

I am Colombian, from Cali by birth and spirit, later Bogota and finally Buenos Aires where I have lived since 2012.

I graduated with a degree in tourism from the Salvador University (Buenos Aires) specializing in the hotel industry as well as participating in research projects on halal food, geopolitics, tourism planning and sustainable development. At the same time I trained in event planning, knowledge that I later put to use in international activities, which was my gateway into the world of logistics.

I started working in lodging sector in Buenos Aires and Montevideo and I discovered that my future was in tourism and not in the political science that I was studying at the time. In 2017 - while already studying tourism - I was able to test this both in theory and practice and confirm that my election had been accurate.

My beginning in the receptive tourism sector was with students of Spanish in Argentina. I was able to plan, sell programs and coordinate groups traveling throughout the country. Subsequently, I had the possibility of working with overseas markets and luxury travelers, an experience in which I was able to develop my skills in planning and logistics.

In 2021 I graduated with a degree in Labor Relations, joining the human resources area of an International Outsourcing Company with focus on remote work modality, strengthening my ability to adapt and to take on new challenges.
